Annemarie has more than 35 years international business and banking experience across Asia, Africa and the Middle East including being CEO and executive director of a large, publicly listed banking subsidiary and latterly a member of a banking Group Executive Committee, the body which shaped its overall strategic direction and operational priorities.  

 

Annemarie is presently Chair of Yorkshire Building Society (mutual banking) and Senior Independent Director & Remuneration Committee Chair of Persimmon PLC (housebuilding). Previously I was Chair of Cater Allen Private Bank; Remuneration Committee Chair on the boards of Santander UK Plc, & WHSmith PLC; and a director at Ladbrokes Coral Plc, & Fleming Family & Partners Ltd.

With a Masters and accredited in Executive Coaching (Ashridge Business School), Annemarie takes a client-centred and strengths-based approach to coaching.  A highly effective listener with excellent powers of intuition, she focuses on coaching individuals who are at a critical points in their careers, including senior executives and first time CEOs, executive committee and/or board members.  She uses her calm, analytical, and empathic style combined with her business acumen to assist her clients to identify and focus upon the issues that are most important to them.
