Conflict Mediation

Mediation is an effective and efficient alternative dispute resolution mechanism that gives conflicting parties the opportunity to resolve conflict by mutual consent  avoiding the need to pursue formal grievance or legal procedures.

Annemarie’s approach and areas of focus:

Annemarie takes a relationship driven approach to conflict mediation which is informed by her MSc in Executive Coaching (Ashridge Business School) and accreditation as a Regents University London (School of Psychology & Psychotherapy) mediator.

In addition Annemarie has 35 years of international business and banking experience operating at board and executive committee levels.

Annemarie specialises in commercial mediation in the financial services sector and on workplace mediation in any corporate sector.

She enjoys co-mediating (at no additional cost) as this enhances the mediation experience for all parties.

Mediation is an effective and efficient mechanism to resolve conflict because:
  • Mediation is facilitated by qualified, experienced, neutral, non-judgmental mediators whose role is to provide an environment where the parties feel able to move towards a mutually agreed outcome.

  • Mediation is quicker and more cost effective than other conflict management techniques (typically lasting less than one day at a cost of £2000 plus expenses).

  • Mediation is private and confidential for all parties.

  • Mediation agreements are enforceable in court should one party not follow the terms of the agreement.

  • Parties retain control over the process and the outcome of mediation. A decision is not imposed on the parties.

  • As it is the parties' decision to settle, they are more likely to be able to “let go” of the conflict and move forward.
